Kasaguadua is a Buddhist practice centre of the Soto-Zen Community of Colombia, under the direction of Densho Roshi, abbot of the Daishinji temple in Bogotá, and leader of our community.
Practising zazen in the middle of the forest emulates the experience of Shakyamuni Buddha and his first viharas, where monks spent the rainy season in peace. The first temple the Buddha received was a bamboo forest.
Here, the forest is a temple. Meditation is as important as clean water.
We offer a space for zazen, open to guests and visitors, with no prior experience necessary.
SPIRITUAL CONNECTION
Discover the deep communion between mind and nature. We invite you to get to know our Zen practice community up close, a refuge of contemplative stillness and wisdom where the human spirit dialogues wonderfully in silence with the forest.
